We Need Help Moving In!

Wheatbrooks has made its empty building available to FilmAcres for our new movie, with the official move-in day set for 1 to 5 p.m. CT Sunday, Feb. 17.

The headquarters will house office and rehearsal space, room for wardrobe and props, as well as a sound stage. Volunteers on Sunday will help move office furniture and assist with some clean-up efforts. Trucks are needed, along with cleaning supplies and tools.

Wheatbrooks is located at 209 S. Prairie St. in Rolling Prairie. Those interested in helping can RSVP on our Lend a Hand page. Anyone needing more information Sunday can call (219) 778-2511.

Auditions Were a Success!

Thank you again to all who auditioned. Those of you definitely chosen for parts will be contacted soon. There are parts still available and we plan to hold auditions again in the near future. If you had a call-back on Sunday, February 3 (or even if you didn’t in some cases), don’t worry, you may still be considered for final casting. John Hancock auditioned Robert De Niro five times before finally casting him in Bang the Drum Slowly! Judging by the talent we saw this past weekend it really will be “The Town That Made a Movie”.
